How to Cook Crabmeat Spread


Crabmeat Spread
1 loaf white bread
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 pound white crabmeat, fresh,
pick out shells
1 cup finely chopped celery
3 cups mayonnaise

Cut bread into small cubes, discarding crusts. Mix bread with onion. refrigerate overnight. add other ingredients the next day--better if kept refrigerated six hours befor serving. spread on crackers, stuff in cocktail tomatoes, serve on lettuce, etc. This recipe really extends the crabmeat without changing the flavor, flavor or texture. it has gotten rave reviews from everyone. i have also used simulated King Crab Meat with excellent results. Serve large group.
